There’s never been a better time to replace or upgrade your hot water system…

It might be heating up outside, but that doesn’t mean we want our morning showers to stop steaming. Having a reliable hot water system is non-negotiable, but they don’t hold their quality indefinitely. Older systems or lower quality systems have an expiry date, and it can be pricey to replace them…

That’s why we’re so excited to share the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, you can save over $2000 on energy efficient hot water systems!*

As an accredited ESC inspection provider, Newcastle Hot Water Services drops the price on our best brands in energy saving hot water systems and takes care of the application. All you need to do is simply enjoy the savings.

Easy steps to upgrading your hot water system!

No hassle, no fuss. NHWS takes the applicable rebate amount from the total cost as a point of sale discount.

Save now to save later

Taking advantage of the government rebate for heat pump upgrade or replace has big short and long term savings:

icon-4

You can save an approximate 60-80% on your energy costs with a quality heat pump

icon-3

Save on your environmental footprint. Installing heat pumps means lower greenhouse emissions than other common hot water systems.

Your water heats up quickly, meaning you don’t have to run your water for long periods waiting for it to warm up (lower water use = lower water bills).

Am I eligible for the Rebate

How does a heat pump hot water system work?

What is the NSW Energy Saving Certificate (ESC)?

How can I ensure I get a quality heat pump and maximise the government rebate?

You are eligible for the rebate if you replace or upgrade an existing gas or electric hot water heater with an approved heat pump or solar water heater. This can save you thousands (and recoup the initial upfront cost) over the life of the unit due to their lower energy use, and energy subsequent costs.

Heat pumps are a renewable energy solution to hot water for your home (or business) without needing solar panels. Instead of absorbing sun through the panels for energy, heat pumps use a lower amount of electricity to pull in the heat from its surrounding area and use that to heat water in a quick, efficient and energy/cost saving way.

Outside air is pulled into the system by a fan and into an evaporator. The warm air is transferred to the refrigerant gas, a compressor pump compresses the gas and the heat exchanger transfers the heat from gas refrigerant pipes to the water storage tank, resulting in quick heat generation without expending a lot of energy.

Each ESC is one megawatt hour (MWh) saving approved by Accredited Certificate Providers. The NSW Government set an ESC target that incentivises people participating in the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) to choose energy saving replacements and upgrades.

The government rebate can save you significant money on heat pumps. However, not all heat pumps are of equal quality. We have received numerous calls regarding the poor performance of cheaper brands, especially as the weather cools. Remember, the ESC rebate can only be claimed once per property, so it’s advisable to choose a quality heat pump to fully benefit from the rebate.

Contact us today, and we can recommend quality heat pumps to help you make the most of your rebate.
